MERRY CHRISTMAS

This year we decided to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with just the 4 of us. It was a little quiet but nice to take a step back from our crazy schedules and just be home!  We had other times scheduled to get together with our families for Christmas.
Ben's Santa letter- in case you need help reading:  Dear Santa, I want a Wild helmet, Wild tickets, Timberwolves tickets, a snow globe and a Twins nightlight.  Love, Ben (we ran out of room and patience to discuss how good he has been to get these gifts)

Ben must have  been pretty good though because he got everything except for the Wild helmet.  Santa also found a Packer nightlight instead of a Twins one but Ben didn't seem to mind.  Of course, Santa can't bring just one ticket for a 5 year old to go to the games...there needs to be at least 2 so an adult can take him! Ryan was pretty excited as well!
Heading to church on Christmas Eve.
After Church we made sugar cookies and went to look at lights before our dinner.
Ben and I hard at work. He was getting pretty good with the rolling pin

Ben woke up first on Christmas morning!  He was really excited about the gifts but since Alex was still sleeping he asked if he and his dad could go downstairs and play basketball.  I told him we would be eating breakfast soon and opening gifts...his response was that we could open gifts in the afternoon...SERIOUSLY??

Alex on the other hand couldn't wait to open the gifts and was very excited!

Opening Gifts! Alex enjoying his new little shovel and Ben his golf clubs!
The rest of the day was spent playing...and yes Ben did get to play basketball with his dad in the basement.  We also went sledding across the street and to a neighbors house that evening to continue the celebration.

Ben and neighbor friend, Ryah put on a Christmas performance for us! Ben sang and Ryah played on her new guitar.
Rudolph take 2..
Merry Christmas!
