HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

Happy Valentines Day! Ben told me he loves Valentines day and that it is his favorite. I'm curious to hear what he has to say about it when he is a teenager.  I have a feeling his opinion will have changed.  Ben had a great day and party at school..of course he enjoyed getting lots of special attention and valentines from all the girls.  He came home with an adorable homemade Valentine for us and also one for Colten. I guess they were making valentine cards the other day and Ben insisted on making it for Colten...never mind Alex, Ryan, myself or any other family members.  We had to drop it off at his house today. 

Last night we made Valentine cut out cookies and went around to some of our neighborhood friends and gave them valentine and cookies.  Ben had fun telling everyone to have a happy valentines day. How long until this won't be cool for him to do anymore?? 

Tonight we carried on the Valentine tradition I grew up with. We had a red dinner and had to wear red to the table. We weren't very creative this year and had stuffed pasta shells with red sauce and shrimp but it was good.  Ben made Ryan go change into something red and told him he couldn't come to the table and eat until he did.  Such a rule follower! You can see Ben and Alex had no problem sporting red for the day.
