BEN UPDATES

Ben has been keeping us busy these days. The other weekend we went to visit Megan and Vince in Iowa. We had a great time. Uncle Vince taught Ben how to play basketball. He has quite the slam dunk! Ben also had his first experience with meeting a cat. The cat was so scared and would run under the bed where Ben would proceed to chase him and try and drag Cooper out. Vince taught Ben how to sneak up on the Cooper by putting his finger to his mouth and saying SHHH. Anytime we asked Ben where the cat was, he would put his finger up and say SHHH and look for the kitty (see the video below).

Some other favorite pastimes of Ben's these day are blocks. He loves to have us build a big tower of blocks for him and he knocks it over and says WHOA! He also thinks it is ok to throw the blocks and see how far they can go across the room- Thank you Aunt Lindsey for this new trick. The throwing is also starting to carry over to food. If he doesn't like the food, it is really fun to throw it on the floor and watch Mommy clean it up. I'm not overly impressed with this new game. However, Ben is also a good helper. He loves to pick up and is a great help at putting away laundry. If you ever come over and take off your shoes, be prepared, they will probably not be where you left them and might be put away in a closet or drawer somewhere when you try to leave.

Ben is a big fan of the Rockies just like his dad!

Ben is still liking his new room at daycare. He is fitting in well and likes playing with the bigger kids. I dropped him off the other day just in time for breakfast and he went right up to the big kid table and pulled up a chair and sat down. It was so funny to see all the little kids in their little chairs eating. Daycare seems to have them trained pretty well. They also walk in single file lines when they go down the hall way to the bigger room to play on the jungle gym. I'm impressed that they all follow along.
Ryan picked up Ben the other night and found Ben over in the corner with one of the older girls. They bring the groups together at the end day if most the kids are gone. Apparently the girl was probably 3 or 4 and tickling Ben! I guess he was just laughing hysterically and had no interest on coming over to Dad to leave. Once Ryan finally got him and was putting his coat on another older girl came up to him and kept smiling at him. Ben being the flirt that he is smiled right back. I'm not sure what kind of little man we have on our hands!
Since the tubes have been put in his ears, we are all sleeping much better! We usually don't hear a peep from our little man until morning. It is wonderful!
