Where has the year gone? December flew by! We have been keeping busy celebrating the holidays with 5 family Christmases! Ben has had fun with Christmas this year. After a couple of Christmas celebrations he figured out how to open the gifts. He also learned how throw the wrapping paper away and clean up. What can I say, he is my son. Ben has walked out on the lake, been pulled in a tube by a 4 wheeler and had a fire outside in the snow. Life is good for our little guy. We were supposed to head to Ryan's families house for Christmas Eve and Christmas day but got snowed in. The roads were too awful to make the 4 hour drive. We entertained ourselves by playing in the snow Christmas Eve day and making appetizers Christmas eve night and a turkey on Christmas Day. Ryan and I felt very domestic! It was sad that we were not able to make it to Wisconsin but we had a nice time at home celebrating. On the 26th, Ryan and I continued our Christmas celebration and took off for St Thomas for some fun in the sun! It was a work trip for me but we didn't have to do any work. It was wonderful. We were able to go snorkeling, hang out on the beach and hit the spa. Of course we ate and drank too much. Ben was an angel for Nana and Papa while we were gone. It is so nice that they are retired and were able to take the time and watch him. I think they had a good time! Why is it though that Ben always sleeps great for everyone else but not for us?
