SO MUCH TO DO, SO LITTLE TIME

Last weekend was a busy weekend in Mankato..especially for Ben! It was the weekend of the Mankato marathon.  Usually Ryan and I run the half but this year we have both been dealing with some injuries so we weren't able to partake. Ben represented our family and did the kids run for the 2nd year in a row.  He had so much fun and had a huge cheering crowd!
Ben is all ready to go!
Waiting at the start- front and center and focused!

Increasing his speed towards the finish!

All smiles at the end with his medal!

Following the run, Ben spent the afternoon playing with his cousins, Ella, Claire and Ashlyn.  Ben's birthday present from Nate this year was a night out with him watching the Mavericks play hockey. He had so much fun and I can only imagine the questions that he asked Nate during the game....  including having him look up the Wild score on his phone during the game.
What a great birthday present!

After the game, the kids got to skate on the ice with the hockey players and cheerleaders.
Ben took full advantage of the cheerleaders shot...10 females and him!  It helps that Nate and Jenn are good friends with the cheer leading coach!
While Ben was at the game, us big kids were celebrating my Dad and Roxie's 30th wedding anniversary!  It was a great dinner and it was fun to be able to catch up with everyone!
Happy Anniversary!!
